Lix is a Lemmings-like engine created in the 1990s by Simon Naarmann. The two major selling points of Lix is that it's completely copyright-free (using its own character which are a female version of the Lemmings), and it has network multi-player like Lemmings on the Amiga. As a result of this, it is widely considered to be the second-biggest Lemmings engine to NeoLemmix which is the first.

History

Lix was initially called L++ and used Lemmings instead of Lix, but Simon changed it so if he got sued by the creators of Lemmings he'd already have all the new sprites ready and so he could put it on his resume.
