Lix, formerly known as L++, is a Lemmings-like engine created in the 1990s by Simon Naarmann coded in D avaliable for 32-bit and 64-bit computers on Windows and Linux. The two major selling points of Lix is that it's completely copyright-free (using its own character which are a female version of the Lemmings), and it has network multi-player similar to how Amiga Lemmings did. As a result of this, it is widely considered to be the second-most popular Lemmings engine (second only to NeoLemmix).
History
Lix was initially called L++ and used Lemmings instead of Lix, but Simon changed it for a multitudie of reasons, including if already wanting to have all the new sprites ready as a saftey net (as they took ages to create), and so he could put it on his resume.
Community
Lix has an IRC channel on Quakenet, and it's own board on lemmingsforums.net
